IDF Completes Operation to Clear Hezbollah Infrastructure on Ali Taher Ridge

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Thursday that it has completed clearing underground infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah on the Ali Taher Ridge. The operation, which lasted for months, targeted strategic facilities built over two decades with funding and planning from Iran. These underground structures included command centers, weapons storage rooms, generator rooms, living quarters, showers, and kitchens, which enabled Hezbollah operatives to conduct combat operations and reside in the area for extended periods.

The IDF stated that the operatives of Hezbollah's 'Badr' unit, with joint Iranian funding and planning, constructed these tunnels. The infrastructure was used to manage fire systems, engage IDF forces, and carry out terror attacks against Israeli civilians over the past decades. The IDF gained operational control through offensive actions including ambushes, tunnel attacks, drone strikes, and direct fire.

During the "Northern Arrows" and "Lion's Roar" operations, Hezbollah operatives continuously used these facilities. The IDF advanced into the Ali Taher Ridge area recently, following efforts to weaken Hezbollah throughout the ongoing war. Following the completion of the clearing operation, the IDF will re-establish defensive measures based on the current situation assessment, while the neutralization of the cleared infrastructure continues.
