Air India will restart direct flights between New Delhi and Tel Aviv on December 1, 2026, restoring the sole direct air link between Israel and India. The airline plans to gradually increase flight frequency, operating on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in December, and expanding to five flights per week starting in January. The flight duration from Tel Aviv to New Delhi is approximately 5 hours and 45 minutes.
Air India also intends to use a shortened flight path that avoids airspace over countries considered hostile to Israel. This resumption will provide Israeli travelers with direct access to India and connect them to Air India's extensive network of connecting flights to Asia and Australia.
