Suspect Arrested for Throwing Object at Former PM Bennett Has Detention Extended
Police announced Friday that a suspect arrested overnight for throwing an object at a restaurant in Bnei Brak during a visit by a public figure has had his detention extended. The suspect was apprehended by officers from the Bnei Brak-Ramat Gan station and the Eyalon brigade of the Central District Border Police. He is currently being questioned and held in custody.
Earlier, a district court in Tel Aviv extended the suspect's detention until Sunday, shortening the initial extension granted by a lower court, which had ordered his detention until Monday. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. The public figure present at the restaurant was former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.
