Naftali Bennett Escorted From Bnei Brak Restaurant After Altercation

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, now chairman of the "Bayad" party, was escorted from the 'Motis' restaurant in Bnei Brak on Thursday evening following a disturbance. The incident occurred during a meeting Bennett was having with young yeshiva students at the venue. A projectile was thrown towards Bennett but did not hit him. Police arrested a suspect in connection with the incident and took him for questioning.

Video footage circulating on social media showed a crowd gathering around the restaurant and a commotion developing during Bennett's visit, including a confrontation with right-wing activist Mordechai David. The "Bayad" party stated that two objects were thrown at Bennett, one of which struck a female staff member on the head. She received immediate treatment from Magen David Adom paramedics at the scene and was released without further medical attention.

According to the party, the event took place after Bennett concluded a productive and substantive discussion with several yeshiva students. Security forces present at the scene apprehended the suspect. Bennett expressed gratitude to the security and rescue forces for their swift response. The party announced that Bennett will continue to hold meetings across the country as part of his initiative for the 'rectification of the State of Israel'.
