Protests Erupt During Naftali Bennett's Campaign Visit to Bnei Brak

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett encountered a chaotic scene during a campaign visit to a restaurant in Bnei Brak on Thursday. The visit, intended for a discussion with yeshiva students, devolved into confrontations and disturbances.

Video footage from the event shows individuals shouting insults at Bennett, including the term "antisemitic." The situation escalated when an object was thrown towards him. Bennett was heard telling an activist, identified as Mordechai David, during a verbal exchange concerning the draft of Haredim into the military, "Go enlist, because when I am prime minister, you won't see a shekel."

The police reported arresting a suspect for throwing an object, stating it did not hit Bennett. However, Bennett's party, "The Together Party," claimed two objects were thrown, with one hitting a female staff member on the head. The staff member received on-site treatment and was released without further medical attention.

The incident occurred as part of Bennett's ongoing election campaign, which involves meetings with various groups across the country. The Bnei Brak visit concluded with the confrontations and the arrest.
