The situation quickly escalated with verbal altercations and shouts of abuse directed at Bennett. The video captures one individual throwing an object towards the former prime minister, though it did not strike him.
Police officers from the Bnei Brak-Ramat Gan station, present at the scene, responded immediately. They identified and apprehended a suspect, who was taken to the police station for questioning.
