Infant Found Unresponsive in Acre, Rushed to Hospital in Critical Condition
On September 24th, a two-week-old infant was discovered unconscious, without pulse or breathing, in a residential building in Acre. The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical service reported that the initial call to their dispatch center came in at 8:37 AM. A team of paramedics and emergency specialists arrived promptly at the scene.
Medical personnel found the baby in critical condition and immediately began resuscitation efforts. Dr. Omri Gurga, an MDA volunteer doctor, and MDA paramedic Salem Haricha described the situation as extremely severe, with the infant showing no signs of life upon their arrival. The team initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation, including chest compressions, artificial respiration, and administering necessary medications.
The infant was urgently transported to the trauma unit at the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya. Paramedics continued advanced resuscitation procedures en route to the hospital, where doctors are currently fighting for the newborn's life.
