Two-Week-Old Infant Found Unconscious in Acre Home, Critical Condition
A two-week-old infant was found unconscious at his home in Acre on Tuesday morning. Medical teams from Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah performed resuscitation efforts before transporting the baby to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya. He remains in critical condition, with resuscitation efforts continuing.
The emergency call was received by Magen David Adom's 101 hotline at 8:37 AM. Dr. Omri Gurga, a volunteer MDA doctor, and paramedic Salem Harika reported that upon arrival, the infant had no pulse and was not breathing. The teams administered chest compressions, artificial respiration, and medication, continuing treatment during the ambulance transport.
United Hatzalah paramedic Maimon Blisha stated, "When I arrived, the toddler had no pulse and was not breathing. I performed resuscitation on him until the arrival of a mobile intensive care unit, which evacuated him to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya while continuing resuscitation efforts, in critical condition."
