A two-week-old infant was discovered unconscious in a home in the city of Acre on Thursday morning. MDA (Magen David Adom) emergency medical teams who were called to the scene provided initial medical treatment and transported the baby to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya, performing resuscitation efforts en route. "This is a very difficult incident. We were led to the infant who lay unconscious, without a pulse or breathing," said Dr. Omri Gurga, an MDA volunteer doctor, and paramedic Salem Harika. "We quickly began resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions, artificial respiration, and administering medication, and urgently evacuated him to the hospital's trauma unit while continuing advanced resuscitation."

This incident follows a similar tragedy last week when a two-year-old toddler fell to his death from a fourth-floor balcony in Kiryat Yam. Emergency teams found the child in critical condition, without a pulse or breathing, and transported him to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, where doctors fought for his life but ultimately declared him dead. In the previous month, a six-month-old infant was critically injured after choking on a plastic bag in Bnei Brak. MDA paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated the baby to Sheba Medical Center-Tel Hashomer with multi-system trauma, continuing resuscitation efforts.
