Israeli Ambassador to US Details Son's Recovery After Terror Attack
Israel's Ambassador to the United States, Michael (Yechiel) Reiter, spoke to reporters from Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, where his son Neria is hospitalized. Neria was injured in a terror attack yesterday at a checkpoint on Route 443.
Reiter expressed gratitude to the medical staff treating his son, describing the past night as "very complicated." He revealed that there was a real fear he might land in the US "without hope" had he traveled as planned, but stated, "We are full of hope that he will get through this time and return to us healthy and whole."
The ambassador drew a stark contrast between this experience and the night his other son, Moshe, was killed in action. "He died immediately, there was no possibility of bringing him to a hospital," Reiter recalled. He urged the public to gather around Neria's bedside, recite Psalms, and pray for his recovery.
