Israeli Ambassador's Son Stabilized After Terror Attack, Life Still at Risk
Doctors at Jerusalem's Shaare Zedek Medical Center have stabilized the condition of 36-year-old Neriah Leiter, who was critically injured in a terror attack near the settlement of Beit Horon. Leiter underwent complex brain surgery. The head of the trauma department, Dr. Alon Schwartz, stated that while his condition has stabilized, his life remains in danger.
Neriah Leiter is the son of Israel's Ambassador to the United States, Yehiel Leiter. The ambassador has flown to Israel to be with his son. Prior to his departure, he posted on social media platform X that his son "needs a miracle."
Tragically, Neriah's brother, reserve Major Moshe Yedidya Leiter, was killed in combat in northern Gaza in November 2023. In response to the attack, a mass prayer for Neriah Leiter's recovery was held at the Western Wall on the night of September 24th, according to Kan Bet radio.
