Son of Israeli Ambassador to US Critically Injured in West Bank Terror Attack

Neriah Laiter, son of Israel's Ambassador to the United States, Yechiel Laiter, is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in a suspected terror attack on Wednesday near Route 443. Neriah Laiter, a reservist soldier, was injured along with his mother, Hannah.

The family has requested the public pray for Neriah Dov ben Hannah's recovery. This incident occurs roughly three years after Neriah's brother, Major (res.) Moshe Yedidiah Laiter, 39, a company commander in the Shaldag special forces unit, was killed in combat in northern Gaza.

In a Facebook post several months ago, Neriah Laiter wrote about his decision to return to reserve duty following his brother's death. He reflected on the personal struggle and the sense of duty, stating, "As a bereaved brother, after my brother Moshe, of blessed memory, was killed in the war, the decision to go out for reserve duty again was not simple at all. Something in my heart truly tore. But I couldn't stand by while my friends were doing another round and another round. I truly had no internal option to stay home." He expressed a profound sense of privilege in serving alongside others, describing how civilians transform into soldiers without complaint, united by a shared purpose to protect their home.
