Negev Resident Arrested for Praising Hamas Terrorists and Inciting Violence

Israeli police and the Shin Bet security agency have arrested a 19-year-old resident of the Negev region for allegedly inciting terrorism and expressing support for the Hamas terror organization. The suspect, Dif Allah Abu Regila from the town of Segev Shalom, was apprehended about a month ago following a joint investigation.

Authorities allege that Abu Regila published extremist content on social media throughout 2026, which included incitement to terrorism, praise for Hamas terrorists and leaders, and expressions of solidarity with the organization. His posts reportedly featured images and videos of terrorists, documentation from the October 7, 2023 attacks, and content associated with the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades.

Prosecutors have filed an indictment against the suspect. The indictment details accusations of glorifying attacks carried out in Israel and explicit calls for acts of violence and terrorism. The investigation revealed that his publications included praise for terrorists and Hamas officials, and content identified with the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades.

Police and the Shin Bet stated they view any involvement in incitement to terrorism, support for it, or identification with terror organizations with extreme severity. They pledged to continue acting decisively to locate those involved, thwart activities that endanger public safety, and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
