Negev Teen Charged with Terrorism Incitement After TikTok Posts

The Southern District Prosecutor's Office has filed a severe indictment against a 19-year-old resident of Shagav Shalom in the Negev, Dif Allah Abu Regila, for dozens of serious security offenses including incitement to terrorism and expressing identification with a terror organization. The charges stem from extensive social media activity over the past year, particularly on TikTok.

A joint investigation by the Shin Bet and Israel Police revealed that Abu Regila published 45 extremist posts on his TikTok account. These posts included praise for terrorists and documentation from the October 7th Hamas attacks. During his interrogation, Abu Regila reportedly stated, "After October 7th, I started to love Hamas," reflecting a significant shift in his views.

Investigative materials show that Abu Regila's content glorified attacks carried out in Israel and included explicit calls for violence. Police and Shin Bet representatives noted that the extremist content was identified with the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades. They emphasized that the activity was discovered through close monitoring of incitement content online, aimed at preempting security threats.

The prosecution cited the high risk posed by Abu Regila's actions in their request to extend his detention until the legal proceedings conclude. Law enforcement officials stressed that these offenses constitute a real danger to the security of the state and the public. They affirmed their commitment to acting with a firm hand and zero tolerance against any expression of support for terror organizations or encouragement of violence in public and digital spaces.
