Man Indicted for Inciting Terrorism and Praising October 7 Hamas Attack
The Beersheba Magistrate's Court today received a severe indictment against Dief Allah Abu Regila, a 19-year-old resident of Shagav Shalom, for security offenses including inciting terrorism and expressing identification with a terror organization. The indictment follows an intensive joint investigation by the Shin Bet and the counter-terrorism unit of the Southern District of the Israel Police.
Abu Regila was arrested at his home about a month ago during a joint operation involving the LOTAR counter-terrorism unit and police detectives. The investigation revealed that over the past year, the defendant published extremist content on social media supporting Hamas. His posts included praise for terrorists and senior Hamas officials, documentation from the October 7 massacre, glorification of attacks, and explicit calls for violence.
Security and police officials emphasized their continued determined action against any expression of support for terrorism and incitement online, stating a policy of zero tolerance.
