Negev Resident Charged with Inciting Terrorism and Supporting Hamas
The Southern District Attorney's Office has filed an indictment against a 19-year-old resident of Shagav Shalom in the Negev, Dief Allah Abu Regila, for security offenses including inciting terrorism and expressing identification with Hamas. Abu Regila was arrested approximately one month ago by the police and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) on suspicion of sharing numerous extremist materials associated with Hamas on social media.
According to the indictment, the shared content included incitement, praise, and support for acts of violence and terrorism, as well as expressions of solidarity with the designated terrorist organization. The materials reportedly featured images and videos of terrorist operatives, documentation from the October 7th attacks, commendations for terrorists and Hamas leaders, and explicit calls to commit acts of violence and terrorism.
The charges filed in the Beersheba Magistrate's Court include incitement to terror and identification with Hamas, stemming from the suspect's alleged online activities.
