Israeli Man Arrested for Inciting Violence Against Settlers on Social Media

A 39-year-old resident of Majd al-Krum was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of incitement after posting a call to harm settlers on social media. The suspect responded to a video of the Gilad Farm terror attack by writing, "We must hunt them like pigs, may God curse you so no settler pig remains." The Northern District Police opened an investigation following the report of the post. After obtaining necessary approvals, the suspect was detained on charges including incitement to racism and direct calls to commit terrorism.

During a search of his home, police seized two fully loaded M-16 rifle magazines, fireworks, over 100,000 shekels in cash, and other unspecified items. The suspect was interrogated and later brought before a court, which extended his detention until July 28, 2026. Authorities emphasized the severity of the case due to the combination of the suspect's statements and the video he commented on. However, it remains under investigation whether formal charges will be filed.

The Israel Police stated they are committed to acting decisively against all incitement offenses and those who praise or identify with terrorist organizations, both online and elsewhere, to protect public security.
