Israeli Father of Three Dies in Fall During Family Vacation in Slovenia
An Israeli man, Gil Hillel, 44, died on Sunday after falling during a family vacation in Slovenia. Hillel, a father of three, resided in Kibbutz Yizrael in the Jezreel Valley. The circumstances surrounding the fall are currently under investigation.
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been notified and is providing assistance to Hillel's family. The department for Israelis abroad and Israel's representative in the region are supporting the family with arrangements to repatriate his body for burial in Israel. The date for the funeral has not yet been announced.
Kibbutz Yizrael issued a statement expressing deep sorrow over the death. Hillel was born and raised in Moshav Mikhmoret and moved to Kibbutz Yizrael after marrying a local woman, where he built his home. The kibbutz community was shocked and saddened by the news and is rallying around Hillel's extended family, friends, and children.
