Israeli Arab Man Arrested for Contacting Lebanese Agent
Shin Bet and Lahav 433 investigators have arrested Hamdan Hamdan, a 32-year-old resident of Majd al-Krum, on suspicion of severe security offenses, including contact with a foreign agent and carrying out security missions under direction. The investigation revealed that for several months, Hamdan was in continuous contact with a female agent from Lebanon, aware of her identity.
Attempts were made to reward Hamdan for his alleged actions through the purchase of goods in Israel by the foreign entity and their transfer to him. The investigation was supervised by the Coastal District Prosecutor's Office.
An indictment is expected to be filed against Hamdan on Sunday. The Shin Bet, Israel's internal security agency, led the operation in conjunction with the National Bureau of Investigation's Lahav 433 unit.
