Israeli Arab Arrested for Aiding Foreign Agent from Lebanon

Authorities have arrested Hamdan Hamdan, a 32-year-old resident of Majd al-Krum, on suspicion of serious security offenses, including communicating with a foreign agent from Lebanon for months and agreeing to carry out security tasks under her direction. The joint investigation by the Lahav 433 special crimes unit and the Shin Bet security agency revealed that Hamdan was aware of the contact's origin from Lebanon and was offered payment through the purchase and transfer of goods.

A indictment is set to be filed against Hamdan on Sunday by the Coastal District Prosecutor's Office. This arrest follows a series of recent security detentions aimed at thwarting dangerous activities. Earlier, a 31-year-old resident of Tamra was arrested and indicted for allegedly attempting to aid Hamas and contacting Iranian intelligence officials.
