Israeli Arab Arrested for Contacting Lebanese Agent
Israeli security forces have arrested Hamdan Hamdan, a 32-year-old resident of Majd al-Krum, on suspicion of security offenses directed by a foreign agent. An investigation revealed that Hamdan had been in contact with a female agent from Lebanon for several months. The foreign agent allegedly attempted to pay Hamdan for his services by purchasing goods in Israel and transferring them to him.
The District Attorney's Office for the Coastal District is set to file an indictment against Hamdan on Sunday. The Shin Bet domestic security agency and the police conducted the joint operation leading to the arrest.
