Arab Journalist Arrested on Suspicion of Aiding Enemy, Supporting Terrorism

A security investigation is underway in the Samaria region of the Judea and Samaria District Police, focusing on serious suspicions against an Arab journalist in her 30s. The suspect, a resident of Beit El, reportedly works for a news channel allegedly linked to Iran.

According to a police statement, the investigation was initiated on suspicion of offenses including incitement, supporting a hostile organization, and potentially endangering regional security or IDF operations. There is also suspicion of trading with the enemy.

Investigators are examining the nature of the journalist's alleged connections with individuals linked to Iran. Evidence is being gathered to determine if her activities constitute identification with terrorism, incitement, or support for hostile elements.

The journalist was arrested several days ago and brought before a judge yesterday. The court extended her detention for an additional seven days, until September 23, 2026, to allow for continued investigation.

The police emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and involves other security agencies.
