Health Ministry Eases Water Boiling Mandate in Carmiel

The Israeli Ministry of Health announced Thursday the lifting of the water boiling requirement for most of the northern city of Carmiel. This decision follows satisfactory water quality tests across the majority of sampling points in the city and corrective actions taken by the water corporation.

Despite the eased restrictions, residents in specific areas are still advised to boil water before consumption, brushing teeth, and preparing food and medication. These areas include the industrial zone, parts of the Founders' neighborhood (listing specific streets), and sections of the southern neighborhood (listing specific streets and number ranges).

The mandate also remains in effect for several public institutions, including the cultural hall, the Histadrut building, the community center, the stadium, the conservatory, the library, Ohel Baruch, the shooting range, and Ofira Park.

Two days prior, the Ministry of Health had issued a directive for all Carmiel residents to boil tap water due to abnormal results from a previous water sampling in the city.
