Explosive Device Found Under Baby Stroller in Nazareth, Two Arrested
Police in Nazareth arrested two residents, aged 23 and 28, after discovering a fragmentation grenade and dozens of live ammunition rounds hidden in a bag beneath a baby stroller inside a vehicle. The discovery occurred on Monday following a police investigation into suspected arms possession at a local rental unit (zimmer).
During the search of the rental unit, officers found dozens of pre-packaged doses of suspected narcotics. They also found a car key, which led them to a nearby vehicle. A subsequent search of the car revealed the bag containing the explosive device and ammunition, concealed under the baby stroller.
The two suspects were initially detained at the scene and later arrested. Authorities are expected to request an extension of their detention at the Nazareth Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
