Two Men Arrested in Nazareth for Weapons and Drugs Possession
Police in northern Israel arrested two young men, aged 23 and 28, in Nazareth on September 14, 2026, on suspicion of possessing illegal weapons and dangerous drugs. The arrests followed a police operation in the city aimed at confiscating illegal weapons.
During the operation, police raided a hospitality unit after receiving intelligence about weapons being stored there. Officers apprehended the two suspects, residents of Nazareth, inside and near the premises.
A search of the hospitality unit uncovered dozens of doses of suspected cocaine and hashish, packaged for distribution, along with car keys for a vehicle parked outside.
Further inspection of the vehicle revealed a bag hidden under a child's stroller. Inside the bag, police found a fragmentation grenade and dozens of bullets.
The suspects were taken into custody, and police are expected to request an extension of their detention from the Nazareth-Nof HaGalil Magistrate's Court. The investigation into the circumstances of the case is ongoing.
