Two Nazareth Residents Arrested for Drug and Grenade Possession
Two young men, aged 23 and 28, from Nazareth were arrested after police discovered dozens of doses of cocaine and hashish, along with a fragmentation grenade and ammunition, hidden in their rented accommodation and vehicle. Police raided the "tzimmer" (rental cabin) where the suspects were staying after receiving intelligence about weapons being held at the location. During the search, officers found numerous drug doses and a car key. They then discovered a bag hidden beneath a baby stroller in the vehicle, which contained the grenade and dozens of live rounds of ammunition.
The suspects are expected to have their detention extended by the Magistrate's Court in Nof HaGalil-Nazareth on Tuesday. The police operation was initiated based on information regarding the possession of illegal weaponry at the site.
