Police Find Grenade and Ammunition Under Baby Stroller in Nazareth
Police in Nazareth, northern Israel, discovered a fragmentation grenade and dozens of bullets hidden under a baby stroller during a targeted operation against illegal weapons within crime organizations. The discovery was made during a search of a rental property, or 'zimmer,' where officers had received intelligence about the presence of weapons. Two suspects, residents of Nazareth aged 23 and 28, were observed at the property and detained.
During the search of the zimmer, officers found numerous pre-packaged portions of suspected cocaine and hashish, along with a car key. A subsequent search of the vehicle parked outside revealed a bag concealed beneath a baby stroller. Inside the bag, police found the live grenade and the ammunition.
Both suspects were arrested and are expected to be brought before the Nazareth Magistrate's Court, where police will request an extension of their detention. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
