Police Discover Grenade Under Stroller, Drugs in Nazareth Guest House
Northern District police and Border Police forces conducted an operation in Nazareth on September 14, 2026, targeting illegal weapons held by criminal organizations. During the operation, officers raided a guest house based on intelligence about weapons being present. Inside and near the guest house, police apprehended two suspects, residents of Nazareth aged 23 and 28.
During the search of the guest house, officers found dozens of doses of suspected cocaine and hashish, packaged for distribution, along with a car key. The key belonged to a vehicle parked outside. A subsequent search of this vehicle revealed a bag hidden beneath a child's stroller. Inside the bag, police discovered a fragmentation grenade and dozens of live rounds of ammunition.
The two suspects were arrested. Police are expected to request an extension of their detention from the Nazareth-Nof HaGalil Magistrate's Court. The investigation into the circumstances of the case is ongoing.
