IDF Grenades and Drugs Found in Ramat Hasharon Apartment

Prosecutors have filed a statement of intent to indict a 43-year-old resident of Ramat Hasharon, who was arrested after four military stun grenades and various types of drugs were allegedly found in his apartment. The discovery occurred during a search on August 18 by detectives from the Galilot station in the Yarkon district. The stun grenades were reportedly hidden in the apartment alongside drugs suspected to be intended for distribution, not personal use.

The suspect was arrested at the scene and taken for questioning. The findings also led authorities to close the apartment for 30 days, until September 18, as it was believed to be a hub for criminal activity. The Tel Aviv District Commander signed the administrative closure order.

Following the investigation and the gathering of evidence, the case was transferred to the prosecution. An indictment and a request for the suspect's remand until the end of legal proceedings are expected in the coming days. This incident follows similar discoveries of military equipment and drugs in Nazareth, Kafr Mitzra, Tayibe, and Jaljulia in March, where weapons including a Glock pistol, a Carlo submachine gun, stun grenades, and nearly a thousand 5.56 caliber bullets were seized.
