Police Find Grenade Under Baby Stroller, Drugs in Nazareth Guest House
Israeli police arrested two men, aged 23 and 28, in Nazareth on Monday during an operation targeting illegal weapons. Acting on intelligence about weapons being stored in a guest house, officers searched the premises and a nearby vehicle.
Inside the guest house, police discovered dozens of pre-packaged doses of suspected cocaine and hashish, along with a car key. The search of a car parked outside led to the discovery of a bag hidden beneath a baby stroller.
Upon opening the bag, officers found a fragmentation grenade and numerous bullets. Police stated the operation aimed to seize illegal weaponry and that the investigation into the seized items and the suspects is ongoing.
The two suspects, residents of Nazareth, were detained and police are expected to request an extension of their custody from the Nazareth Magistrate's Court on Tuesday. The investigation continues to determine the full details of the case.
