Police Find Grenade, Ammunition Hidden Under Baby Carriage in Nazareth

Israeli police in Nazareth discovered a hand grenade and dozens of bullets hidden under a baby carriage inside a vehicle during an anti-crime operation. The discovery was made by officers from the Northern District and Border Police (MAGAV) following intelligence about illegal weapons storage. Upon arriving at a local guesthouse, officers observed two suspicious young men, identified as Nazareth residents aged 23 and 28. A search of the guesthouse revealed dozens of packaged doses of suspected cocaine and hashish, along with a car key. The vehicle, parked nearby, was searched, leading to the discovery of a bag containing the grenade and ammunition concealed beneath a baby carriage. Both suspects were arrested. The Nazareth-Nof HaGalil Magistrate's Court is scheduled to hear the police's request to extend their detention for investigative purposes. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to determine the origin of the weapons and drugs and their connection to the detainees.
