Nazareth Double Murder: Three City Residents Arrested

Three Nazareth residents, aged 21, 21, and 23, were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of involvement in a double murder that occurred in the city a week prior. The victims, Nur Nafaa and Nur Aldin Khilo, were shot and killed inside their vehicle. The suspects are scheduled to appear in the Nazareth Magistrate's Court on Wednesday for a hearing on extending their detention.

The double homicide took place on September 2nd in the evening. Police launched an investigation, led by the Northern District's Central Unit. The motive is suspected to be a conflict between local gangs and crime organizations.

The double murder marked the beginning of a particularly violent 24-hour period in Nazareth. Less than three hours later, a 27-year-old resident was shot and killed in the Bir Al-Amir neighborhood. The following day, Mahmoud Handouli, a man in his 30s, was murdered in a shooting. Initial findings suggest the killer posed as a Wolt delivery driver, knocked on the victim's door, and fired nine shots.

In response to the four murders, police announced an increased presence in Nazareth, deploying dozens of officers and Border Police officers. During this operation, ten suspects were arrested, and a handgun, a fragmentation grenade, and various other weapons were seized.
