Volunteer Firefighter Charged with Planning Terror Attack
A pre-indictment statement has been filed against a 19-year-old volunteer with Israel's Fire and Rescue Services, from Kafr Qasim, who was arrested approximately one month ago on suspicion of promoting terror activities and planning attacks. According to the investigation, the young man volunteers at a fire station in central Israel and had planned to carry out an attack at a strategic site he accessed through his duties.
Further suspicions indicate the individual contacted Hamas operatives and an individual linked to Iranian intelligence.
