Heatwave Returns Across Israel, Intensifying in Key Regions

Israel is set to experience a return of heatwave conditions starting Sunday, with temperatures rising above seasonal averages in many areas. While Saturday will see relatively stable weather with variable cloudiness to clear skies and temperatures near yearly norms, Sunday marks the beginning of a warming trend. This heat is expected to affect most of the country, including coastal areas, though it will be most pronounced in the Beit She'an Valley, the Kinneret region, and the Jordan Valley. Elevated heat is also forecast for the Arava, the Dead Sea area, various valleys, and parts of the Galilee. The coastal plain, Gush Dan, the Shefela region, Samaria, and the Negev will also feel the increased temperatures. The warming trend is projected to continue into Monday. The Mediterranean coast will experience choppy seas, while the Gulf of Eilat is expected to remain calm. Specific temperature forecasts include Tel Aviv and Haifa ranging from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius, Jerusalem from 18 to 30 degrees, Ashdod from 24 to 30 degrees, Ashkelon from 25 to 30 degrees, Be'er Sheva from 21 to 34 degrees, and Afula from 21 to 34 degrees. Mitzpe Ramon will see temperatures between 18 and 29 degrees Celsius. Be'er Sheva and other southern areas are expected to be significantly hotter than the coast.
