Heatwaves Expected Across Israel as Temperatures Rise
Israel is bracing for rising temperatures and significant heat stress in various regions starting Sunday and continuing into Monday. While Saturday and the beginning of the week will see relatively stable weather, particularly along the coast, a gradual increase in temperatures is forecast for the rest of the country.
The most intense heat is expected in the Beit She'an Valley, the Kinneret Basin, and the Jordan Valley. Heat load will also be felt in the Arava Desert, the Dead Sea area, the valleys, and parts of the Galilee, the coastal plain, the Gush Dan region, the Shefela, the Samaria region, and the Negev.
Seas are expected to be rough along the Mediterranean coast today, Saturday. However, the Gulf of Eilat will remain calm. Temperatures today in Tel Aviv and Haifa will range from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius, in Jerusalem from 18 to 30, in Ashdod and Ashkelon from 24 to 30, in Beersheba and Afula from 21 to 34, in the Gaza Strip from 25 to 30, in Mitspe Ramon from 18 to 29, and in Eilat from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius.
