IDF and Shin Bet Eliminate Hamas Khan Younis Brigade Commander
The Israeli military and Shin Bet announced Thursday the elimination of Mohammed al-Yazouri, identified as the commander of Hamas's military wing's Khan Younis brigade in Gaza. Al-Yazouri was killed in an airstrike in the Khan Younis area. According to the IDF statement, al-Yazouri held various positions within the brigade, including deputy commander, commander of the combat support battalion, and head of intelligence. He was reportedly responsible for directing the brigade's operatives and planning terror attacks against Israeli forces and citizens. The statement further claimed that al-Yazouri had been actively working to advance numerous terror plots against Israeli forces and to rebuild the brigade's strength, which had been significantly degraded during the ongoing conflict.
In the same strike, the IDF reported the deaths of Hudhayfah Mu'ammar, a company commander, and Mohammed Bahjat Radi, another operative within Hamas's military wing in the Khan Younis brigade. The IDF's Southern Command forces are reportedly operating in the field as per operational plans and will continue to address immediate threats.
