IDF and Shin Bet Eliminate Hamas Khan Yunis Brigade Commander
The Israeli military and the Shin Bet security agency announced Thursday the targeted elimination of Muhammad Yazouri, who served as the commander of Hamas's Khan Yunis Brigade in the Gaza Strip. Yazouri held several key command positions within the military wing of the terrorist organization, including deputy commander of the Khan Yunis Brigade, commander of the combat support battalion, and head of the brigade's intelligence department.
In his role, Yazouri directed the activities of the brigade's operatives and guided them in carrying out terror attacks against Israeli forces and civilians. Recently, he was involved in advancing numerous terror plots against security forces and attempted to rebuild the brigade's strength after significant damage sustained during recent fighting.
During the strike that eliminated Yazouri, two other operatives from Hamas's military wing in the Khan Yunis Brigade were also killed: Hudhaifa Ammar, a company commander, and Muhammad Bahjat Rachi.
