IDF and Shin Bet Eliminate Hamas Khan Yunis Brigade Commander
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency announced the successful elimination of Mohammed Yazouri, identified as the commander of Hamas's military wing in the Khan Yunis brigade in the Gaza Strip. The precise airstrike occurred on Thursday in the Khan Yunis area.
Yazouri held several previous positions within the brigade, including deputy commander, commander of the combat support battalion, and head of intelligence. In his role as commander, he was responsible for directing the brigade's operatives and advancing terror plots against Israeli forces and civilians.
According to the joint statement, Yazouri had recently been active in promoting numerous terror attacks against Israeli forces and attempting to rebuild the brigade's capabilities, which had sustained significant damage during the ongoing conflict.
Also eliminated in the same strike were Hudhaifa Ammar, a company commander, and Mohammed Bahjat Rachi, another operative within the Hamas military wing's Khan Yunis brigade. The IDF's Southern Command forces are deployed in the area and will continue operations to neutralize immediate threats.
