IDF Eliminates Senior Hamas Operative and Bodyguard in Khan Yunis Strikes
Earlier this week, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted targeted strikes in the Khan Yunis area of southern Gaza Strip, killing Hazem Mousa, a Hamas military wing operative involved in the October 7 massacre at Re'im camp. In a subsequent operation, the IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Razek Sahil Suleiman Abu Shakhma, another Hamas operative and bodyguard to Yahya Sinwar, also linked to the October 7 attacks. Both militants had infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 assault.
These strikes come amid ongoing efforts by Hamas militants to rebuild their terrorist capabilities and orchestrate attacks against Israeli civilians and military personnel, violating the ceasefire agreement. The IDF stated that its Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area to neutralize any immediate threats and will continue operations to ensure security.
The operations underscore Israel's commitment to preventing further terrorist activities following the deadly attacks earlier in October and maintaining pressure on Hamas in Gaza.
