IDF Eliminates Senior Hamas Commanders in Precision Airstrikes in Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that during precise airstrikes conducted earlier this week in the Gaza Strip, two senior Hamas operatives were killed. Ahmad Al-Sham Mahmoud Luh, who served as the head of a sniper squad in Hamas's Nuzirat Battalion, and Mahmoud Ali Mahmoud Tarush, a platoon commander in Hamas's military wing involved in the October 7 attack on Israeli territory, were both targeted and eliminated.

The IDF stated that Ahmad Luh's killing continues a series of targeted strikes against sniper squad leaders within the Nuzirat Battalion, which operates primarily in central Gaza. Meanwhile, Mahmoud Tarush was killed in northern Gaza. Both men were actively involved in planning and executing terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and military forces.

Throughout the ongoing conflict, Hamas militants have attempted to advance terror operations against Israeli forces and civilians, posing direct threats that the IDF has countered with precise aerial strikes. The Southern Command forces remain deployed according to existing agreements and will continue efforts to neutralize threats. The IDF emphasized its ongoing campaign to dismantle Hamas's military infrastructure and eliminate senior operatives who endanger Israeli security.

The targeted killings are part of a broader strategy to prevent further attacks like the October 7 massacre, with continuous monitoring and operations against Hamas units in Gaza's central, northern, and southern regions.
