IDF Eliminates Hamas Sniper Leader and Terrorist Involved in October 7 Massacre in Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the killing of two Hamas terrorists in airstrikes conducted earlier this week across the Gaza Strip. In a strike in southern Gaza, the IDF killed Ahmad Al-Sham Mahmoud Luh, the head of a sniper squad in Hamas's Nuzirat Battalion. Luh was the last sniper squad leader in this battalion, and his elimination follows a series of similar targeted killings of Hamas sniper leaders in the same unit.

In a separate strike in northern Gaza on Monday, the IDF killed Mahmoud Ali Mahmoud Tarush, a platoon commander in Hamas's military wing. Tarush participated in the October 7 massacre, during which Hamas militants infiltrated Israeli territory. The IDF stated that throughout the ongoing conflict and recently, Hamas operatives have attempted to advance terror operations against Israeli forces and civilians. These terrorists posed a significant threat and were neutralized in precise aerial strikes.

The IDF Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area in accordance with operational agreements and will continue efforts to eliminate all threats. The ongoing targeted killings are part of Israel's broader campaign against Hamas militants in Gaza following the October 7 attacks.
