IDF and Shin Bet Eliminate Hamas Khan Yunis Brigade Commander
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency announced Thursday the elimination of Muhammad Yazouri, the commander of Hamas's Khan Yunis Brigade in Gaza. Yazouri was appointed to lead the brigade after serving in various roles, including deputy commander, commander of the combat support battalion, and head of the brigade's intelligence department. He was responsible for directing the brigade's operatives and advancing terror plots.
In recent times, Yazouri was involved in promoting dozens of terror attacks against IDF forces and worked to rebuild the operational strength of the brigade he commanded. The operation also resulted in the deaths of Hudhayfah Ammar, a company commander, and Muhammad Bahjat Rachi, another Hamas operative within the Khan Yunis Brigade.
