Israel Neutralizes Hamas Sniper Cell Leader in Khan Younis
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency announced on Thursday the elimination of a Hamas sniper cell leader operating within the terror group's Rafah Brigade. The strike took place in the Khan Younis area.
The targeted individual, Mu'amman Gaber Al-Sayed Abu Labada, was identified as the head of a sniper cell responsible for training and operations aimed at harming Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers near the Gaza border.
According to the joint statement, Abu Labada had been working to restore Hamas's capabilities, systematically violating the ceasefire agreement. The operation was conducted to neutralize the immediate threat he posed.
IDF forces in the Southern Command remain deployed in the area and are committed to continuing operations to eliminate any further threats.
