IDF Arrests Palestinian Police Officers for Attacking Israeli
Israeli military forces apprehended three Palestinian police officers on Tuesday after they allegedly established an illegal roadblock in Area C of the West Bank and assaulted an Israeli civilian. The incident, which occurred in a section of the West Bank under full Israeli civil and security control, involved the officers detaining the Israeli man.
Security officials described the officers' actions as a "severe deviation" that endangered lives. The Palestinian police have not yet commented on the incident. The arrested officers were transferred for further questioning.
Area C constitutes approximately 60% of the West Bank and is where Israel maintains full control over security and civilian administration. Palestinian police presence and activity in this area are generally restricted and require coordination with Israeli authorities.
