Israeli Police Arrest Suspects in Soldier Kidnapping, Assaults, and Vehicle Theft in West Bank Operation

On Thursday morning, Israeli police, together with military and security forces, launched a large-scale arrest operation across the Judea region, targeting suspects involved in serious crimes including the kidnapping of an IDF soldier, violent assaults on Israeli shepherds, and vehicle theft. The operation relied on precise intelligence coordination and cooperation with the IDF Central Command and other security agencies to apprehend fugitives hiding in the West Bank.

A key arrest took place near Hebron, where police detained a resident of Tarkumiya suspected of involvement in the soldier kidnapping that occurred about a week ago. The suspect, who believed he had evaded capture, was caught and immediately transferred for intensive investigation at the southern district police headquarters, where the kidnapping case is being handled.

Simultaneously, fighters from the operational arm of the Yahuda Arrow unit, as part of the "Stopping at Red" campaign, raided the Palestinian town of Beit Uwa in Area A. There, they arrested a 24-year-old Bedouin from the southern diaspora hiding in a warehouse, suspected of serious property crimes and vehicle theft. The suspect had attempted to exploit the territorial complexity of Area A to avoid arrest but was apprehended and taken for questioning.

In another part of the operation, detectives from the Etzion station and fighters from the Etzion regional brigade closed in on the fourth suspect in a violent attack near Ma'kaneh Avraham, where three Israeli shepherds were assaulted and injured. The Palestinian suspect from Harshaida was taken for interrogation to hold him accountable for his role in the attack.

All suspects arrested during the morning operation have been transferred for further investigation. Police emphasized that their determined and offensive approach, involving all security branches, will continue vigorously to capture any criminal or terrorist, regardless of where they attempt to hide.
