Netanyahu Unveils Likud Knesset Candidate List, Frames Election Choice
Prime Minister and Likud party chairman Benjamin Netanyahu presented an updated list of candidates for the next Knesset session at the Orient Hotel in Jerusalem. Among the candidates revealed were Talik Guili, Yaakov Bardugo, Eli Goldschmidt, Elisha Madan, David Petru, and Itzik Bunzel, whose names had been previously published.
Netanyahu opened the event by defining the central issue of the upcoming political contest. He stated that the key question for the election is whether a strong right-wing government led by him will be formed, or a weak left-wing government headed by the opposition.
The Prime Minister also congratulated Oren Dobransky, who was previously removed from the national list due to the requirement to renounce foreign citizenship but has now been granted candidate status for a ministerial position.
The published candidate list reflects the internal power dynamics within the Likud party. The top ten positions include Benjamin Netanyahu himself, Eli Cohen, Amir Ohana, Yariv Levin, Miri Regev, Israel Katz, Gideon Saar, Ofir Katz, Talik Gueli, and Yoav Kisch. Subsequent positions are filled by a mix of experienced politicians and new faces, forming a unified team for the election campaign.
