Attorney David Peter has been added to the Likud party's slate for the 26th Knesset, the party announced Tuesday. They initially settled in Mevaseret Zion before moving to Haifa. The party stated that his family's transition from communist Hungary to Israel has shaped his worldview and path.
Peter's public and legal work has focused on issues of governance, law, freedom, and democracy in Israel. Likud described him as a "leading jurist," emphasizing his experience in constitutional, public, and commercial law, research, and litigation.
