Lawyer David Peter Added to Likud Knesset List
The Likud party announced Tuesday the placement of attorney David Peter on its Knesset list. Peter, a constitutional and public law expert with a master's degree from Bar-Ilan University, is currently pursuing his doctorate there. He is a second-generation Holocaust survivor, born in Hungary to parents who grew up under communist rule. His family immigrated to Israel when he was 18 months old, initially settling in Mevaseret Zion before moving to Haifa.
Likud stated that Peter's worldview has been shaped by his family's transition from communist Hungary to Israel. Throughout his career, he has gained extensive legal and public experience in constitutional, public, and commercial law, as well as research and litigation. His professional work has focused on issues related to governance, law, liberty, and democracy in Israel.
The party described Peter as someone who brings legal depth, a sense of mission, and a profound connection between the Jewish people's history and the State of Israel to his work.
