Second Israeli Citizen Missing in Nepal Floods
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that an additional Israeli citizen, a 41-year-old woman, is missing following severe flooding in Nepal. The woman, who also holds Belarusian citizenship and does not reside in Israel, was previously listed as a missing Belarusian national.
Israel's consulate in Kathmandu and the ministry's department for Israelis in distress abroad are in constant contact with her family. They are actively working with local authorities and relevant bodies in Nepal in an effort to locate her, according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry.
This brings the total number of Israelis unaccounted for in the Nepal floods to two. The other missing Israeli is a 60-year-old man.
