Listeria Bacteria Found in Gad Dairy Camembert Cheese; Recall Issued
Gad Dairy has issued a product recall for its Camembert cheese after it was found to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. The affected product is a 130-gram Camembert cheese with 33% fat, white mold-ripened, with an expiration date of September 7, 2026, and batch number BFBN. The cheese is imported by Gad Dairy and manufactured by Sas Paturages Comtois.
Consumers who have purchased this product are urged to refrain from consuming it. Listeria monocytogenes is a dangerous bacterium that can cause serious illness, particularly in high-risk populations such as the elderly, individuals with weakened immune systems, and pregnant women, in whom it can lead to miscarriage.
Gad Dairy is cooperating with the Ministry of Health's Food Service to collect the contaminated products from distribution channels. The company has apologized for the inconvenience and stated its commitment to ensuring product quality and safety through full cooperation with regulatory authorities.
Customers with questions can contact Gad Dairy's customer service via their website, by phone at 1-700-50-21-22, or by email at service@gad-dairy.co.il.
